Carol Loeb
Biography
Carol Loeb is a Canadian landscape painter and a Senior Signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, an Elected Member of the Society of Canadian Artists, and a Signature Member of the American Artists Professional League. She holds a Fine Arts Certificate from Fanshawe College and a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and Art History from McMaster University. After a 32-year career as an art educator, including serving as Senior School Visual Art instructor at Lower Canada College in Montreal, she began focusing on her studio practice full-time in 2020.
Working primarily in acrylic, Loeb creates layered, luminous paintings inspired by rural, urban, and industrial landscapes. Her work captures quiet, contemplative moments drawn from everyday scenes.
Her Trans-Canada 150 Project documented landscapes along the Trans-Canada Highway from coast to coast, resulting in a series of 52 paintings and a book. Loeb has exhibited widely in Canada, Italy, and the United States, and her work is held in private and corporate collections internationally.
