Biography

Isabelle Lafargue, a French porcelain painter originally from Saint-Pierre & Miquelon island, immigrated to Canada in July 2012, settling in Dieppe, New Brunswick with her family. Her childhood by the seaside, immersed in nature, fostered her love for painting, starting with her discovery of colored pencils under her grandmother's pillow.

Over 15 years, Isabelle honed her skills in art and cultural project management while exploring her passion for painting, ultimately specializing in porcelain. After training in Limoges, France, Lafargue has developed her style, blending traditional and modern techniques, often incorporating metals like fine gold and platinum into her pieces.

Isabelle's dedication to her craft has earned her recognition, she has received awards from exhibitions and associations such as the International Porcelain Artist and Teachers (IPAT) and The Porcelain Artist of Canada Association (PAC). Alongside her artistic pursuits, she shares her knowledge by teaching classes, believing in the transformative power of artistic expression, particularly for young people.

Her creations, born from dreams and meticulously hand-painted onto delicate porcelain, embody a blend of whimsy, elegance, and contemporary flair.
