Biography
Sébastien Larochelle was born in Hull, Quebec, on September 16, 1974. Raised in a close-knit family alongside his two brothers, Stéphane and Marc, he spent his childhood moving between several towns, including Bois-des-Filion, Lorrainville, Évain, and ultimately Rouyn-Noranda, where he lived through much of his youth.
From an early age, Larochelle showed a natural affinity for drawing, revealing both a strong sensitivity and a developing artistic voice. He pursued his passion through formal studies in Visual Arts and Arts & Letters at the Cégep de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue, before continuing at the Université du Québec à Montréal, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts.
Since completing his studies, Larochelle has dedicated himself fully to his artistic practice, transforming his lifelong passion into a profession. His work continues to reflect a deeply rooted sensitivity and an evolving creative exploration.
