Stephanie Azrieli

Biography

Stephanie Azrieli began painting in her late fifties after a rich and multifaceted career as an educator and librarian. Since then, her works have been collected internationally and reflect her joyful and expressive approach to painting.

Her work often focuses on still life and floral compositions, characterized by bold color palettes, simplified forms, and dynamic contrasts. Azrieli frequently pairs vibrant warm tones with cooler hues, creating lively compositions that emphasize movement and emotion over strict realism. Her expressive brushstrokes and strong use of color bring a sense of vitality and spontaneity to her subjects.

In addition to her artistic practice, Azrieli has played an important role within the Azrieli Foundation, whose mission is to improve the lives of present and future generations through initiatives in education, research, healthcare, and the arts in Canada and Israel.
