Biography

Nostalgic Realism. This is what Jacinthe calls her style of painting. She paints in oils exclusively. She paints anything that will bring back a happy memory. She loves to thrift shop and she includes her favorite finds into her art. She also paints things that a person would not usually expect to see in a painting. She’s made it somewhat of a challenge to find the most mundane objects and make them appear beautiful because they truly are in her eyes. Sometimes she will use one of her genuine vintage wallpaper in the background, sometimes a light casting shadows down on it. Jacinthe wants to force you to look at the world differently, to really look around and smell the ketchup! Ketchup is my favorite colour.. Oups… her favorite colour ;)

Jacinthe has won many art contest, has been on the cover of art magazines and has received some very prestigious awards.
